Students will explore India’s vibrant art traditions, learn from local artisans, and express their creativity through interactive workshops. The program blends cultural immersion with fun, reflection, and teamwork.
Day 1 – Arrival & Introduction to India’s Cultural Tapestry
Theme: Welcome to the Land of Colors
- Arrival in Jaipur
- Meet and greet at Jaipur Airport.
- Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
- Welcome session with refreshments.
- Evening Orientation Session:
- Presentation on “India: The Land of Living Art & Culture.”
- Ice-breaking activities and team formation for the week.
- Short talk on Rajasthani symbols, crafts, and stories.
- Dinner: Traditional Rajasthani thali served at a cultural restaurant.
- Optional puppet or folk dance performance.
Learning Focus: Cultural introduction, creative curiosity, teamwork.
Day 2 – Block Printing & Textile Art Workshop (Bagru Village)
Theme: Learning from the Artisans
- Morning: Transfer to Bagru (1 hour drive)
- Visit the famous Bagru artisan village, home to natural dye and block printing traditions for over 300 years.
- Introduction to local artisans and demonstration of natural dyeing, washing, and printing techniques.
- Hands-on Workshop:
- Each student gets their own fabric and block set to design a printed scarf or tote bag.
- Learn about sustainable textiles, natural colors, and eco-friendly fashion.
- Lunch: Homemade local Rajasthani meal in the village.
- Afternoon:
- Continue creative projects: students refine and complete their block prints.
- Short interaction on the role of art in community livelihood.
- Evening:
- Return to Jaipur.
- Reflection session: “What I learned from the artisans.”

Day 3 – Traditional & Contemporary Art Fusion
Theme: Exploring Expression Through Colors
- Morning:
- Visit to Kala Kendra, Jaipur’s cultural hub.
- Guided art walk through galleries showcasing Indian and modern art.
- Sketching activity in the sculpture garden.
- Late Morning Workshop:
- Interactive session with a local artist on Miniature Painting or Madhubani Art.
- Students create their own small artwork using traditional motifs and natural pigments.
- Lunch at the Art Café.
- Afternoon:
- Creative writing and storytelling workshop — expressing stories through art.
- Group challenge: “Paint Your Story” mural activity (collaborative painting).
- Evening:
- Visit a local handicraft market (Bapu Bazaar).

Day 4 – Music, Dance & Cultural Heritage Day

- Photography activity: “Art in Architecture.”
- Lunch at a heritage haveli.
- Afternoon:
- Indian Music & Dance Workshop — led by local performers.
- Learn basic beats on tabla or dholak and simple classical or folk dance steps.
- Interactive storytelling on Rajasthani traditions and attire.
- Evening:
- Cultural Night Celebration at the hotel.
- Students present group performances — dance, art exhibits, or short skits inspired by the week.

Day 5 – Creativity Reflection & Departure
Theme: From Inspiration to Creation
- Morning:
- Reflective session: “What does creativity mean to me?”
- Group sharing and feedback circles.
- Creation of a “Memory Wall” — students display their artworks, sketches, and photos from the week.
- Certificate distribution and closing ceremony.
- Afternoon:
- Departure for Jaipur Airport.
