We at Wild Woods Haven are passionate about your stay in the wild life and hence leave no stone unturned to bring the best of both hospitality and adventure.

     

    Wild Woods Haven is in Achakarai – meaning the other side of the river, Achai – The      other side and Karai – Shore.

    Masinagudi where Wild Woods Haven is also known as Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.

    Resort

    The Resort is built using laterite stone. (exposed Laterite which was procured from coastal Karnataka). The building is totally eco friendly. The building is at the edge of the forest and overlooks a beautiful mountain which has clouds moving on and over it most of the time.

    We have One Room Block and One Block where we have the Reception & Restaurant.

    The property is just adjacent to the tiger reserve and our guests can just go into the forest and experience nature at its best.

    We have an open terrace, covered partially. The view from up above there is breath taking. If one is interested one can spend the late evening there and they will be able to spot a lot of wild animals.

    The other facility we have in our property is Cricket, Basket Ball Ring, Carrom Board and we can organise for any card games and so on and so forth.

    Plenty of Car parking space is available.
    Dormitory type of accommodation for budget travelers and tent houses will be provided in the next couple of months.

    The resort is quite a windy place and our guests can experience nature at its best.

    Accommodation

    There are two types of Rooms:

    Room Type One : Inventory of this type of Room is 4.
    It consists of Living Room, Kitchnet (Provision to make tea/ Coffee) , TV, Fridge with Mini Bar, Double Bedded Bed Room, Toilet with 24 Hrs running hot water, Individual portico with facility to sit and view the forest on three sides of the room.
    We propose to charge Rs. 3000/= + 12.5% Taxes during Week ends and may be 15% cheaper during week days. Tariff during season (April & May and 20th Dec to 20 Jan) will be 20% Extra.

    Room Type Two : Inventory of this type of Room is 4.
    It consists of a big bed room with a king size bed. It has TV, Toilet with 24 Hrs running hot water, Individual portico with facility to sit and view the forest on three sides of the room.
    We propose to charge Rs. 2500/= + 12.5% Taxes during Week ends and may be 15% cheaper during week days. Tariff during season (April & May and 20th Dec to 20 Jan) will be 20% Extra.

    Camp Fire / Born Fire

    Dinner Service adjacent to camp fire.

    Candle Light Dinner on Open Terrace of Restaurant.

    Normal conventional restaurant.

    Very soon we will have an open restaurant in the lawns.

    There is a lot of open area where children can enjoy and play.

    We are planning for tent accommodation by next month.

    We can take our guests out for Jungle trek and River walks,

    and We can arrange for Jungle Jeep Safari.

    Can arrange for fishing in the river.

    Elephant safari can be arranged provided sufficient advance        information is provided.

    Football is available in the resort.

    The restaurant has a huge sit out and people can dine overlooking the mountain.

    A small gift shop which sells Nilgiri Products like Chocolates, Tea, Spices, Eucalyptus and some natural essential oils will be coming up shortly.

    A visit to the old Bokkapuram Temple can be arranged.

    Numerous Deer can be seen behind our property almost every night.

    Sitting on the terrace of our property, if one is lucky he could spot animals such as Elephants, Bear, Cheetah, Tiger, Wild Dogs, Wild Boar, Bison and a lot of birds can be spotted.

    Masinagudi is one of the most promising destinations for a memorable sojourn amidst the natural splendor of this wondrous town. Quaint and serene, the small town will easily lure you with its obvious natural charm.     Fun Activities To Do In Masinagudi

    Wildlife Viewing
    The dense forests in Masinagudi are a safe haven for a variety of wild animals. For the wild life enthusiasts, it’s one of the ideal destinations to view some exotic wildlife including elephants, spotted deer, wild boar and bear etc. Animal lovers can see animals venturing out on the forest tracts or simply relaxing in the natural environs of Masinagudi forests.

    Safaris
    The national park in Masinagudi organizes van safaris to some sanctuary areas. The timings for the safari are 6-8.30 in the morning and 3-6 pm in the evening. The rides last for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Spotting wildlife in the jungle is very common on the back of an elephant. The elephant ride is to be accompanied by the mahout who will ride resident elephant on different tracks which are not covered by the van safari and chances are high that you will be able to sight the wild life from close quarters.

    Elephant Camps
    There is an elephant camp in Masingudi forest managed by the forest department. The elephant camp boasts of 29 pachyderms that are trained and cared for by the forest authorities. To witness the elephants giving a thorough cleaning and offering pooja to the diety, will be quite an amazing experience.

    Trekking

    Nature walks in Masinagudi will be the perfect way to unwind in the stimulating and uplifting companionship of nature. The topography of the area is distinctive with patches of grasslands, scrub jungles and deciduous forests all over the place which makes it a perfect halt for environmentalists as well.
